“into the bleu”
5×7 inches
So, life has been a bit more than insane of late and it’s all I can do to keep up with my daily schedule it seems but today I made some space and took a break from my math studies and painted this little bleu fellow a universe to play in. I don’t always know if the bleus want universes, sometimes they like to stand alone, but this fella had places to go, he said.
Last weekend marked an occasion for my art. I have pieces hanging in two galleries here in Bellingham, The Blue Horse Gallery and Alford’s Gallery and Salon and I managed to get them all framed and ready before the First Friday Art Walk. I sold a piece, which is encouraging. It’s the first time I’ve had art on a gallery wall in nearly 15 years and I sold a piece on the first night. Pretty amazing actually. I’ve been giving myself regular painting breaks between my studies and mommy duties and I’ve got more works in progress. I keep wondering how long it will take for people to get tired of my bleus but then I realize hardly anyone has seen them, and the people that have been watching them all along still get just as excited when they see new ones as they did the first time they ever saw them. So, I think I should stop worrying about all that and just keep putting my brush into the water jar…

I hope not. They never get tired of coming out to play.
