The Little Boat That Could

I’ve had a boat that I’ve seen in my dreams for years…

I’ve painted it several times before…

I’ve been thinking about painting it big for years now.  30 x 40 inches big…

I’d actually started out with another painting in mind…

But then I realized, I had to paint the boat.

Sometimes that happens, you can only see what you see and until you paint it, you can’t paint a single other thing…

So, this is my boat.

My metaphorical me.

Somehow, through everything I’ve been through, I’m still upright…

I am the little boat that could and I can.
